Jewel D Henson

Jewel D Henson, 92, passed away December 29, 2020. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Grey Road Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and later of Hope Apostolic Church. She was very active in many women’s groups within the church. She had no children of her own but considered her nieces, nephews and the youth of the church to be her children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Henson; her parents, Don Smith and Zula Yocham Smith; two brothers, Burl Smith and Edward Smith; two sister-in-laws, Opal Smith and Inola Smith; two brother-in-laws, Jack Hall and George Bouldon.

She is survived by two sisters, Wanda Bouldon and Syble Hall and eleven nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday January 2, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service time.
