James Rex Teague

JAMES REX TEAGUE, 87, of Memphis, TN died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Methodist Hospice Residence. He was born May 15, 1926. He served as a Sergeant with the 43rd Air Depot Group in the Army Air Corps and received the American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Victory Medal World War II, and Army of Occupation Medal (Germany). Mr. Teague retired as an Insurance Broker and Financial Advisor with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. He earned the designation of CLU and ChFC and was a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table. Mr. Teague was a 32nd degree Mason. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lila Faye Teague and sons, Larry (Chris), Ricky (Elaine), Roger (Debbie), and Duncan (Judy) Teague. He was the grandfather of 10 grandchildren and the great-grandfather of 17 great-grandchildren. Mr. Teague was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert A. Teague and Ruby Ray Teague and his brother, Lloyd Edward Teague. Visitation will be at Memphis Funeral Home, Poplar Chapel 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 24 and 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25. The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with grandsons-in-law, Dr. Michael O’Neal and Mr. Hugh Calvert, both of Cumming, GA officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
