James Roy Smith

James Roy Smith, 86, of Memphis, passed from this life on Sunday, April 15, 2018. He was born September 30, 1931 in Ripley, TN to the late John P. Smith and Margaret E. Fryer Smith. Mr. Smith was retired as a Foreman with Memphis Light Gas & Water and was a member of St. Stevens Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife; Bonnie Sue Smith, daughter; Susan Warren, son; James R. Smith, Jr., five grandchildren; Kevin Gray, Carla Baker, Greg Smith, Brian Smith, Wes Smith and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 2pm Tuesday, April 17, 2018 with visitation beginning at 1pm all at Memphis Funeral Home at 5599 Poplar Ave. in Memphis. Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
