Haskell Eugene Tate

HASKELL E. TATE, age 83, of Memphis, passed away peacefully at his home on May 2, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Dorothy Hitt and a grandson, Daniel Crank. He retired from Postal Service Data Systems in 1988 with 30 years service. He loved to travel, camp, hunt and fish. Dad will be greatly missed but we rejoice that he is with his Lord, Jesus Christ. He is survived by his daughters, Debra Hatcher, Daphine Tate, Cheryl Crank (Don) and son, Haskell Tate, Jr. (Patty) as well as grandchildren, Cody Hatcher, Steven Crank, Amanda Tate and great-grandchild Cody Stumbo Hatcher, Jr. The family wishes to thank Daddy’s wonderful and dedicated caregivers Ollie Campbell, Teresa Kilpatrick and Lontina McGary for their loving hearts and for always being there. The family will receive friends 1 p.m. Monday with funeral services at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Ave. Burial will be in Memphis Memory Gardens.
