Fred W. Smith (also known as Super Fred) died at 66 years of age on August 1, 2017. He graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1968. Fred was the most successful dirt track racer from Memphis with national #42. While working for Texaco he was sent to Ecuador and fell in love. He married Magdalena Mancheno and have two grown children, Michelle and James. He is also survived by his two brothers, Herbert and Richard. A memorial service will be held for Fred at Family Funeral Care 4925 Summer Ave at 6 p.m. on Saturday the 5th of August.
