Frank was born April 28, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Frank and Mamie Jackson. He confessed his life to Jesus Christ under the leadership of Pastor Allen at New Covenant Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where he was a faithful member.
Frank graduated from Hamilton High School in 1967. He joined the United States Army, where he served from 1968 until 1970, receiving an honorable service discharge, and was given the National Defense Service Medal.
Frank married Annie Mae Jackson who preceded him in death. He later married Jearlean Harris on April 28, 1996.
Mr. Frank Jackson leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Jearlean Jackson; daughters, Valencia Larry (Chyran), Cynthia Thomas, and Marcia Pickens-Smith (Van); sons, Frank Jackson III (Sabrina), Cedric Jackson (Deeann), Cortez Jackson (Sharvette), and Courtney Harris (Ashley); brothers, Ivory Jackson and Michael Jackson; sisters, Alderee Facison (John), Girlee Simmons (Earnest), Sharon Guy (Harold), and Pamela Vaughn (Shawn); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.
Frank loved family and friends. He was well-known in his community as a friendly neighbor. Frank enjoyed having family cookouts and enjoyed listening to the Blues (Johnny Taylor). Frank was always willing to help neighbors in times of need. He welcomed everyone into his home and never met a stranger. Frank dearly loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. There wasn’t a day that went by that he wouldn’t call “everyone” in the family just to ask, “What are you doing? Everyone ok? Tell the grandbabies I love them.” He would even call you at work and ask, “Are you working hard or working smart?” Needless to say, Frank has left a loving spirit to care for one another, to look out for one another, forgive one another and most importantly, his great BIG SMILE.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother and father; his brother, Thomas (Tim); three sisters, Alice, Marjorie, and Debora; and his daughter, Twana Harris.
