Daniel Lee Downs

A beautiful and happy soul, Daniel Lee Downs’s life didn’t come to an end with his death. Daniel passed away early in the morning of January 8th, 2022 at the young age of 28 from injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident. In his last moments, he was surrounded by love as his hand was being held when he took his last breath. His family and loved ones continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

The simple pleasures in life brought great joy to Daniel. He loved helping people and being a person you could come to with your problems. During his downtime he enjoyed going to the driving lanes and exploring the city. He found beauty in everyday forgotten things and had the uncanny ability to find happiness in the simplest activities. His optimistic and personable personality was contagious to everyone he met. He will be missed dearly, but we celebrate the time we had with him.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 pm on January 22, 2022 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Salvation Army on Daniel’s behalf.
