Cullye Stanhope ‘Stan’ Sanderlin, Jr., age 86, was a loving and devoted father and husband. Stan went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 20, 2021. He was born in Memphis, TN and lived in Collierville, TN since 1970.
Stan was a faithful and devoted member of Collierville First Baptist Church. He was a veteran and served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1962, earning the rank of Machinist Mate 2nd Class. Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sanderlin; his siblings, Russell Eugene Sanderlin and Vestal Jo Edmonds. He is survived by his sister, Carol Annette Sherron and her husband Gary; two sons and their wives, Michael and Elizabeth VanLandingham of Little Rock, AR and Donald and Julie Sanderlin of Collierville, TN; his grandchildren, Justin VanLandingham and spouse Anne Katherine, Molly VanLandingham, Ethan Sanderlin, Stephen Sanderlin, Weston Sanderlin, Peyton Sanderlin, Adam Sanderlin, Michael Sanderlin, Anna Sanderlin, Andrew Sanderlin, Kevin Sanderlin, Emmelia Sanderlin and Daniel Sanderlin; his great grandchildren, Mary Arlynn VanLandingham and Caroline Grace VanLandingham.
Services will be held at Collierville First Baptist Church, 830 New Byhalia Rd. in Collierville, TN on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to start thereafter. The Interment is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
