Charles "Stephen" Canerdy Jr.

Charles Stephen Canerdy Jr., age 38, of Memphis, Tennessee was called home by our Lord on November 11, 2024, following a short illness. Stephen was born April 11, 1986 in Tupelo, Mississippi. He was a resident of Jacksonville, Florida at the time of his death.

Stephen was a gentle giant with a gracious soul. A humble man, he had a love for basketball, football and bowling always striving for that 300 game. He loved traveling and spending time on the beach. Stephen will always be remembered for his contagious laugh and his love for people. He never met a stranger, he had a great sense of humor and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his parents, Charles S. Canerdy, Sr. (Michelle) and Melanie D. Strouse (Terry); his life partner of 10 years, Holly Cox, whom he adored; two sisters, Sarah Carroll (Jordan), Brandy Canerdy, both of Memphis, Tennessee; one brother, Brandon Canerdy of Arkansas; two nieces, Abigail Canerdy, Layla Moody; two nephews, Jackson Carroll and Charlie Canerdy. He also leaves many uncles, aunts and cousins that will always remember him and love him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aubrey L. Canerdy and Edith Jo Canerdy, Robert D. McBryde and Bonnie McBryde.

A gathering of family and friends for Charles will be held Monday, November 18, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. Burial will follow service at Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133.
