Anthony Highland, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 84 on May 11, 2024 as he was recovering from a hip breakage. Tony was born on December 13, 1939 to Elise and Anthony Highland. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School on the Parkway in 1957. After working as a truck driver for 30+ years, he retired a proud member of the Teamster’s Union. He loved every minute of retirement. He spent 15 years of his retirement volunteering at St. Ann School in Bartlett as the ice cream man - a job he loved where he could share random historical facts with the kids. He enjoyed his trips to Oregon and his daily discussions with his best friend Paul. Tony is survived by his loving wife, Betsy, his son Steven, daughter-in-law Caren, and grandson Adrian. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Best Friends Animal Society or a cat shelter of your choice.
