John Martin Kapushion

John Martin Kapushion, 80, of Meeker, Colorado passed away on October 29, 2024. Preceded in his death by his parents, John and Anne Kapushion, and his brothers, James Kapushion and Robert Kapushion. He is survived by his daughter, Meredith Kapushion (John Krukoff), granddaughter, Cressa Krukoff, and brother, Martin (Liza) Kapushion, sister-in-law, Linda Kapushion, and many nieces and cousins. John served two years in the U.S. Army where he was trained as a radiologist. He spent most of his career at Pioneer's Hospital in Meeker, Colorado where he managed the X-ray department and hospital purchasing. He was an avid hunter and loved to travel the world for exotic hunts. His trips took him from Australia and South Africa to the northern reaches of Russia. He was also an life-long sports fan and was active in his community. He often volunteered for various groups, and even served as a hospital greeter after he retired. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A service will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church at 889 Park St., Meeker, Colorado at 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 12. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2024, at Roselawn Cemetery, 1706 Roselawn Road, Pueblo, Colorado 81006. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would welcome donations to the Meeker Lions Club in John's name.
