Hiroshi Takeda, 85, passed away Thursday September 8, 2016 at his home in Medford, OR. He was born March 12, 1931 to Shoji and Chizu Takeda in Milpitas, CA. Hiroshi attended schools in Milpitas, CA, San Jose, CA; Internment Center School (WWII); Smithfield, Utah; Grand Junction, CO. and Berkeley,CA. He received a degree in agriculture from University of California, Davis and also attended Taloa Academy of Aeronautics (Oakland, CA) from which he received special training in emergency procedures and received all ratings except sea plane. He was a food inspector and combat medic for the US Army during the Korean War and other special missions. Hiroshi had a strong interest in the medical field, teaching emergency medicine and training and was assigned to the California State Board of Medical Examiners and worked as a physician assistant in San Jose, CA. He also enjoyed farming and worked on the family farm growing vegetables in the Milpitas area. In 1985 Hiroshi came to Medford, OR with his father and brother and farmed vegetables, including excellent crops of lettuce. He was dedicated to his family and farm life. He was a very hard and dedicated worker but his health started to deteriorate. His genuine smile will be missed by all. Hiroshi is survived by his older brother, Shin Takeda and sister Martha Ashizawa. He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, George Takeda. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday October 2, 2016 at the Ruch Community Bible Church; 190 Upper Applegate Rd, Jacksonville, OR 97530. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ruch Community Bible Church.
