Harold James Simpson

He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on January 24th, 1925 to William Lloyd Simpson and Mary Louise Edgington; a graduate of Tech High School. He married the love of his life, Mary Louise Dickey on September 12, 1947.

Harold and Mary served as missionaries with the Gospel Missionary Union for 5 years in Manitoba, Canada, then returned to Des Moines where he pastored a church. He also served in the jail ministry for 30 years. Harold and Mary moved to Medford, Oregon in 2002 and were members of First Baptist Church of Medford, OR.

Harold is survived by his children Harold James (Jamie) Simpson Jr. (Betty) of Johnston, IA, Mary Lucy Prim of Medford, Oregon, Dickey Lloyd Simpson (Becky) of Des Moines, IA, and Timothy Paul Simpson Sr., of Medford, Oregon. Grandchildren Kent, Beth, Harold (Jim), Afton, Jonathon, Jennifer, Jason, Lisa, Amy, Tim II and 20 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, William Lloyd and Mary Louise Simpson, his sister Vivian, great-granddaughter Ava M. Putney, Spouse Mary Louise & grandson Nathan M. Prim. Harold will be greatly missed by all.

A Funeral Service will be at First Baptist Church of Medford Oregon. Flowers may be sent to the church at 649 Crater Lake Avenue, Medford, Oregon 97504.
