Carl Milton Savage

Lovingly known as "Uncle Milty" to many and for those of the Pacific Northwest Bell era "Gator". Milts family included his loving wife Nonie of 54 years, 6 children Jurhee, Brad, Jani, Jeff, Bill and Kim, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandshildren. He was born in Salem Oregon on a dairy farm as the youngest of 5 boys. This farm still stands today as part of the Keizer city Park. In 1943 he enlisted in the Air Corps as a navigator on a B24. He attended Willamette University before be began his 36 year career at Pacific Northwest Bell, and retiring in 1983 after working in Salem, Corvallis, Newport, Klamath Falls and finally Medford. His passion in life was being an accomplished woodworker. There are no friends or family members that do not have a piece or furniture or some "Fun Stuff" that Milt built. He carried his friends from town to town and had a special golf foursome for many years. "Uncle Milty" was known for always having a boat and teaching many to waterski on the Oregon waterways and an annual Shasta Lake with special longtime friends and family.
