Linda Mae Massey

On August 20th, Linda Massey passed away at the age of 69 surrounded by her family and friends. Linda was born on December 25th, 1952 in Hillsville, Va. She was preceded in death by both of her Parents, and her Brother, Thomas Thacker. Linda is survived by her Husband, Robert “Rob”; Sister, Vickie Kleski (John); and Uncle, Luke Curry (Lynn). The loving mother of three children, Tammy Schilke (Keith), Theresa Lanier (Kevin) and Walter Lowry (Tania); as well as the loving step-mother of two, Thomas Massey and Michelle Massey (Roger). Linda has eight grandchildren, Stephanie Weakley (Marshall), Brandon Schilke (Lexi), Austin Schilke (Kasey), Evan Lanier, Kamryn Lanier, Nicholas Lanier, Sammy Lownes and Madelyn Lowry; three great-grandchildren, Bradley, Grayson and McKinleigh; a beloved niece, and three treasured nephews. Linda worked for MCV-VCU for 42 years where she had a number of friends that she loved like family. Linda’s favorite things to do were spending time with her family, "hanging with her girls", making $40.00 last at Rosie’s, shopping, and spoiling her pets, Lu Lu and Lena. Mom, Your life was a blessing, Your Memory a treasure, You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. A Visitation will be held from 4PM to 7PM on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Woody Funeral Home - Atlee, located at 9271 Shady Grove Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116. A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Woody Funeral Home - Atlee, located at 9271 Shady Grove Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116.
