Millie "Mimi" Ann (Hawkins) Farrar

Graveside services at Post Oak Cemetery, 139 FM 1996, Oglesby, TX will be held February 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM with Dr. Gregory Nichols officiating.

Millie was born January 17, 1932 in Brownwood, TX, the eldest daughter of Cecil Columbus Hawkins and Oneta Fancher Hawkins.

Millie met John Henry (Sonny) Farrar in McGregor when she was 15 at a First Baptist McGregor box supper. After dating a little over a year and Millie graduating from McGregor High School the two were married July 29, 1948. After a honeymoon to South Texas they quickly started their family the following year. In 1983 they retired to Whitney where she remained until her death.

Millie was preceded in death by her husband, John, her son, Richard Allen, her daughter, Vicki Ann , her father and mother and all of her 6 siblings (Cecil, Rosie, Jackie, David, Bettie and Jimmy). She is survived by her youngest son Rocky Lee Farrar and his wife Lydia Gates Farrar of Morgan and sister in law, Lynda Hawkins of Grapevine.

Millie had 8 Grandchildren, Stephanie Farrar, Tammie Farrar, Richard Allen Farrar, Jr, Jonathan Mauri Farrar, Aimee Farrar Ogletree, Jaimee Farrar, Samantha Farrar Byrne and Jeremy Dustin Farrar as well as many Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include; Ronnie Dodson, Jack Herod, Shawn Hawkins, Dwaine Herod, Yuri Lavadour and

Dustin Farrar, Honorary pallbearers; Damon Farrar, Michael Herod and Mark Herod.
