Michael Lee Fowler

Michael Lee Fowler, 60, of Moody, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Eagle Springs Baptist Church in Moody, Texas, with Pastor Bob Van Dyke officiating.

Michael was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas on August 10, 1959 to Bill Joe Fowler and Linda Lee (Gwatney) Fowler. He grew up in North Little Rock and graduated from Sylvan Hills High School in 1977. Michael married Rebecca Stepp on March 7, 1981 in North Little Rock. They made their home in Moody in 2004. Michael was a faithful member of Eagle Springs Baptist Church. He was an auto body repairman for several years, and later went into home remodeling. Michael loved the outdoors, fishing, Harley Davidson motorcycles, craftsmanship, and stray dogs and cats. He was passionate about growing fruits and vegetables, and would stay up all night canning. Michael was an excellent cook, was the grillmeister, and an arborist. He adored his children and his four grandchildren.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Lee Fowler.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Fowler; son, Ryan Fowler and wife, Julie; daughter, Bethany Townsend and husband, Parsons; father, Bill Fowler; brother, Brad Fowler and wife, Lee Ann; grandchildren, Caleb Fowler, Macy Fowler, Ainsley Townsend, and Hudson Townsend.
