Jose "Joe" Gomez

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Friday, May 31, 2013 at St. Eugene Catholic Church with Father Jose Azcona officiating. A visitation with family will be 6p to 9p with a Rosary at 7p, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel.

Joe was born November 27, 1931 to Guadalupe and Juan Gomez in Coolidge. Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather who cared deeply for his family. He adored all kinds of bird especially roosters. Some of his pastimes were fishing and dancing with his beloved wife. The Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys were his favorite sports teams. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of over 50 years, Jovey Gomez of McGregor; children, Freddie Gomez of McGregor, Elizabeth Snyder and husband William of Pasadena, Charlie Gomez and wife Theresa of Waco, Robert Marquez and wife Joan of North Dakota, Debby Radicke of Hewitt, Connie Eastwood and husband Kenny of McGregor, Joe Rodriguez and wife Dominga of Hewitt, Arthur Rodriguez of Waco, and Rosie Rodriguez of Waco; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Christopher McCorkle, Jonathan McCorkle, Joe Andrew McCorkle, Johnny Joe Marquez, Marquita Marquez, Michael Eastwood and Ray Lopez.
