Jack Chandler, 88, of Crawford, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor. Interment will follow in Crawford Cemetery with Military Honors provided by Fort Hood Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, May 12th at the funeral home.
Mr. Chandler was born on December 27, 1926 in Waco, Texas to Loy Elmer and Annie Josephine (Nelson) Chandler. He served his country in WW II in Japan. He married Frances Warren on September 26, 1947 at Harris Creek Baptist Church and they celebrated over 671/2 wonderful years together. Mr. Chandler retired from Southwestern Bell/AT&T after over 45 years of service. He loved to fish, hunt, camp and work on his ranch with his cattle but his true love was his family. Mr. Chandler was the last living founder of the East Crawford Water Supply. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother; Hubert Chandler and a sisters; Katherine Simmons and Margaret Bouman.
Survivors include his wife; Frances Chandler off Crawford, son; Archie Chandler of Hewitt, daughter; Janice Chandler-Kirkland of Mansfield, grandchildren; Jacob Chandler and his wife, Hannah, Jill Chandler, Jordan Chandler, Michael Williams and his wife, Brooke, Jarod Williams, Jessica Kirkland, Justin Kirkland, and great grandchildren; Brooklynn Tyler, Jayden Jacobs and Jayce Kirkland.
