Charles Cullen Doty

Charles Cullen Doty of McGregor went to be with our Lord Monday morning, December 20, 2010, at the age of 78. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor. Interment will follow in Crawford Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Cole Funeral Home.

Mr. Doty was born October 20, 1932, in Oglesby, Texas the son of the late Luther Lee and Gladys (Hoppe) Doty and attended school in Crawford. On January 20, 1970, he married Jewell Christine Burt in Georgetown, Texas.

Much of his life was spent as a supervisor with Ideal Woodwork in Waco for thirty-five years. As a person who enjoyed the outdoors, he also enjoyed playing dominos and various card games.

Also preceding him in death were four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife Jewell; two sons, Charles Doty, Jr. of Waco, Alan Doty and wife Cheryl of Eddy; three daughters, Pam Taylor and husband Danny of McGregor, Anita Parks and husband Kelly of Gatesville, Jacque Gaston and David Phillips of Missouri City; one brother, Clifford Doty and wife Johnnie of Waco; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
