W. C. (Bill) Parham, age 70, of Hampton, GA died October 3, 2014 at his residence. Bill was born in Hawkinsville, GA, the son of the late Willie Clay Parham Sr. and Ruth Hill Parham. He grew up in Macon and graduated from Georgia Tech where he played football and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Bill and his wife Susan, have been the founder and owner of two successful businesses based in McDonough. Southern Textiles, a manufacturer of linens for the home, operated for twenty years with a large number of local employees until it was sold. Southern Automotive, which enjoys an international reputation for excellence, builds custom high-performance Ford engines and transmissions for classic car restorations. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Susan Wright Parham of Hampton; his sister Carol Parham Grice; niece Paula Grice Gaston (Carlos) and her children Jalen, Serena and Seth ; niece Amanda MacKool and her children Donovan and Joseph; nephews John L. Grice, Steve J. Merka (Lois) and sister-in-law LeeAnn Kirby He will be missed and loved by all who knew him but, especially, by the multitude of rescue dogs who owe their lives to his tender heart! The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, October 6, 201 4, 5pm – 8pm. A graveside service will be held at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery at 11am on Tuesday October 7, 2014. Bill will be interred near his mother, father and beloved aunt - Hattie Parham Latson.
