Mr. Roger Elliotte Nelson, age 71 of McDonough, Georgia passed away February 22, 2021. He was born in Minot, ND to the late Johnny Clarence and Edna Hilldegard Johnson Nelson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Darryl and James Nelson. Roger retired after 33 years with Delta Airlines and 12 years with the Henry County Water Authority. He loved attending country music concerts, working in the yard and eating ice cream and popcorn. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Rev. Karen Nelson; daughters, Rhonda Hairston of Suwanee and Robynn (Brandon) Floyd of Atlanta; grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah and Isaac Hairston, Noah, Jack Elliotte, Lily and Levi Floyd; great granddaughter, Eris Hairston; brother, Timothy Nelson of Portal, ND; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2021 - 10:00 AM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Chad Nelson will officiate. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
