Rodney Lee Ball

Rodney Lee Ball, age 85 passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, in Stockbridge, GA. He was born November 10, 1939, in Newnan, GA to the late Thomas and Lura Ball. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Jean Ball, brother Richard Ball, and his two sisters Jackie Malpass and Jean Harrison. Rodney is survived by his two daughters Belinda (Charles) Roberts and Renae (Doug) McClure; four grandchildren Jordan (Jordana) Roberts, Evan (Jordan) Roberts, Cody (Breanah) McClure, and Kelsey McClure; one great grandson Mitchell McClure and many other beloved family members. Rodney loved to travel and worked for Delta for over 21 years. After he retired from Delta, he was a bus driver for the Henry County Schools District for 19 years. He not only loved his family but he also loved his church, Sharon Church, and sang in the Choir. Rodney will be greatly missed by his family, friends and church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Sharon Chapel, 536 North Ola Road, McDonough, GA 30252. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
