Loftin, his mother Elizabeth Loftin (Adams), sister Anita Ward, his wife Judith Sue Loftin (Gavaza), and his son Todd Earle Loftin. Bob’s life was a living example of his faith put into action. He was loved by everyone he came in contact with, including the nurses who cared for him during his final illness. Bob used his vocal abilities everywhere from in the U.S. Navy, to churches, as well as leading many congregations, and through his last days in the hospital and at home. He only wanted to sing God’s praises and he blessed and reached many with his powerful voice. His goal each and every day was to serve others no matter what the cost.
The most important thing in Bob’s life was his relationship with Christ and his desire for others to have a similar relationship with his Savior. He was not afraid to tell others that Jesus is the way and the only way to eternal life. Bob’s heart was burdened for the lost and his ultimate goal was to point others to Christ (including his family) so that he could spend eternity with them.
We were all so blessed to have such an amazing father, husband, brother, son, Pops/Poppie and friend. We all rejoice in the fact that he is resting safely in the arms of Jesus with family and loved ones who preceded him. We enjoyed our final moments together loving on Bob and we look forward to seeing him again and giving him a big hug and kiss. We look forward to seeing you soon Pops!
“And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
I Peter 4:8-10 (NKJV)
