Laura Ann Hunt Woodie, age 44, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Laura was born March 17, 1974 in Atlanta, GA. She is known for her kind ways, her beautiful smile and unwavering faith. She taught Sunday School at Bethany Baptist Church for many years. Laura was always her happiest when she was with her girls and doing for others. She brought joy to many people and will be remembered with much love. Laura is survived by her husband of 19 years, Chad Woodie; daughters, Madison and Kerrigan Woodie; mother, Brenda Nunn and step father, Leonard; sister, Leisa Wooten and husband Vince; Mother and Father-in-law, Debbie and Terry Woodie; brother-in-law, Scott Woodie, Sister in-law, Kim Woodie; nieces and nephews Mason, Gavin, and Ashton Woodie, and Destin and Katelynn Wingo; and her uncle Andy.
A visitation for Laura will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. A celebration of life will be Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Pettite officiating. A committal service will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
