Janet Johnson Maddox

Mrs. Janet Johnson Maddox, age 75 of Jackson, Georgia passed away October 23, 2020. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Joseph Franklin Johnson, Sr. and Merle Hanes Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert Emmett Maddox and by a grandson, Chase Maddox. Janet was full of life and enjoyed dancing and being around children. She was a retired pediatric nurse and entertained children as Nurse Fannie Mae Feelgood, a clown she personified to make children and adults alike laugh and have fun. She was a member of Stark United Methodist Church, where she had been very involved in church activities. Survivors include her sons and daughters in law, Ken (Kelly) Maddox of Griffin, Craig Maddox of Rex and Stephen (Ashley) Maddox of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Makenzie Maddox, Blaise Maddox, Hayden Maddox and Alex Maddox; great grandsons, Bradin and Bodie Maddox; siblings, Joan Canady of Douglasville, Joseph (Judy) Johnson, Jr. of Fayetteville and Jennifer (Don) Cravey of Stockbridge; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2020 - 10:00 am in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel for immediate family only. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park at 11:30 am. Friends may visit the family Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
