James Allen Walden Jr.

Mr. James Allen Walden, Jr., age 91 of McDonough, Georgia passed away November 17, 2017. He was born in Copper Hill, Tennessee to the late James Allen Walden, Sr. and Bessie Hall Walden. He was preceded in death by siblings, Jerry, Jack and Betty Walden. James faithfully served his country in the United States Army and was owner/operator of James Home Improvement Company for 50 years. James was a family man who enjoyed the outdoors, yardwork, gardening, golf and travel. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Faye Walden; daughters, Marsha (Michael) Blessitt of Savannah, Karen (William) Thomason of McDonough and Jamie (Robert, Jr.) Powell of McDonough; grandchildren, Alisia Fletcher, Brandon Perkins, Ashley Thompson, Abby Grizzle, Aaron Thomason, Andrew Thomason, Kasen Walden, Jalen Varnadoe, Levi Varnadoe, Rayden Powell and Coraley Powell; great grandchildren, Baylee, Britten, Vander, Dax, Evelli, Chandler, Brantley, Hayden, Jaley, Madelyn, Olivia, Leah, Ethan, Eli, Avery, Sawyer and one on the way, Cash; great-great granddaughter, Lakin Blessitt; sisters, Helen Benefield of Carrollton and Inez Hyde of N. Georgia. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 2017 – 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
