James Clifford Sims Sr., age 75, of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. He was born on September 1, 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Jesse and Jean Sims. Jim was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Diane in June of 2023. He enjoyed NASCAR and working on cars. Jim was a proud US Army Veteran and he retired a a mechanic from UPS after 18 years. He is survived by his children, Janie Sims (Arnold) of Roanoke, Al and Cliff (Brandy) Sims of Barnesville, grandchildren Brittney (Matt) Hill, Hunter Adams, Alexis Adams, McKinley Sims, Hadley Sims, one great granddaughter, Ysabelle Hill and one brother, Jeff (Marsha) Sims. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA. Graveside services will follow with military honors at Locust Grove Cemetery at 2:30pm in Locust Grove, Georgia.
