James Robert Dietz

Mr. James Robert “Jimmy” Dietz, age 83 of Stockbridge, Georgia passed away April 1, 2017. He was born in Ringgold, Georgia to the late Max Myron and Minta Irene Key Dietz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Rose Stoner Dietz, brother, Charlie Dietz, sister, Marian Handley and a nephew, Robert Darnell. Jimmy faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He retired after many years in produce and enjoyed oil painting and working in the yard. Survivors include his sons, Perry (Loretta) Dietz of Forest Park, Eric (Janelle) Dietz of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Chad (Jaimee) Dietz of Locust Grove, Jerica Campbell of Acworth and Tamara Dietz of Acworth; great grandchildren, Claire Dietz, Colin Dietz, Ethan Campbell and Alex Campbell; step grandchildren, Robert (Chrissy) Lort, Jr. of Loganville and Keith Lort of Ormond Beach, FL; step great grandchildren, Derek Lort, Joshua Lort and Keigan Lort; sister, Reba (Gattis) Smith of Stockbridge; nephews, Gary Darnell, Alvin Smith, Paul Smith and Charlie Smith. Friends may visit the family Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
