Gerald (Jerry) George Johnson, 76 years old, passed away on Friday, August 12th, 2022, at Piedmont Hospital surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife Joan. He leaves behind his children Robert, Wendy, and Joseph, as well as two granddaughters, Hope and Faith, along with three grandsons, Billy, Thomas, and John, and one great granddaughter, Kilara. Jerry was an Air Force veteran who passionately served his country. Jerry was a talented and award winning woodworker, and was a member of several wood working clubs in the Atlanta Area. Jerry also enjoyed spending many hours researching his family genealogy. Visitation for Jerry will be held Monday, August 29, 2022 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Haisten Funerals and Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, GA 30253. The visitation will be live streamed on the Haisten Funerals and Cremations Facebook page the evening of the visitation at haistenfunerals.com
Church services are being held for Jerry on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022 from 11AM to Noon at Saint James the Apostle Catholic Church, 1000 Decatur Road, McDonough, GA 30252. The Church services for Jerry will be live streamed on the Saint James the Apostle Catholic Church YouTube channel the day of the Church services, and will be available for viewing up to 30 days after the Church services.
