Bonelle Crumbley Turner

Mrs. Bonelle Crumbley Turner, age 94, of McDonough, GA passed away December 24, 2018 which was her favorite day of the year. Mrs. Turner was born in Henry County the daughter of the late Florence Elizabeth Rich Crumbley and George Lawrence Crumbley. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Ernest Jackson Turner. Mrs. Turner was the last of her 10 siblings.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of McDonough since 1947. Mrs. Turner was a resident at Westbury for the last five years and greeted everyone. She was known for her sense of humor and making people laugh. In her younger years she liked to fish and go to the beach with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors are her daughters and son-in-law; Jackie Lunsford of Athens and Nan and John McGarity of McDonough; grandchildren, Keith and Robin Lunsford, Andy and Laurie Lunsford, Adam, Nathan and Reed McGarity; 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends that loved her.

Funeral service for Mrs. Turner will be on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in McDonough with Rev. Tom Bergman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 – 11:00 AM prior to the service and interment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post #55, and First Baptist Church of McDonough.
