Albertha Monica McCallum, age 81, of Locust Grove, Georgia, died on Sunday, May 1, 2022. She was born On December 16, 1940. Albertha was born to the late Zen and Clara Robinson in Jamaica In the Parish of Mandeville, Manchester. In addition to her mother and father, she was predeceased by sister’s Cynthia Stewart, and Audrey Allen, and two nephews, Winston Stewart and Basil Stewart.
Albertha attended Hunter College and New York Technical College. She worked at Bowery bank as an accountant for many years and as a Unit Clerk at Brookdale Hospital in New York until retiring. She was a member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in McDonough, Georgia; Albertha enjoyed various activities such as shopping, reading, and traveling. She had a great sense of humor and was a prayer warrior, making her stand out.
Her husband of 47 years, Conrie McCallum, survives, as do her daughters, Moreen (Davian Green) McCallum and Tashane Yarbrough; grandchildren, Darnell and Zari McCallum, both of Locust Grove; sister, brother-in-law, Richard (Cecille) McCallum of New York; sister-in-law, Merlyn (Winston) Dhue of Canada; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
A funeral service will be performed at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the chapel of the Haisten Funeral Home in Atlanta, Georgia, 1745 S Zack Hinton Parkway McDonough, GA 30253. Guests are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the Service to follow.
In addition to the Service, the Interment will take place at Fairview Memorial Gardens immediately following the Service.
