Wilma Frances Boyd, 57, resident of Huber Heights, Ohio, died at her home Friday, October 28, 2011. Mrs. Boyd was born in Maysville on May 2, 1954, the daughter of Ruby Louise Bluford Holmes of Maysville and the late Clarence Thomas Holmes. She had worked in the Dining Hall at Grissom Air Force Base and was a sales representative for Proctor & Gamble, CrossMark and the Mabelline Company. Wilma was a member of Scott United Methodist Church. She had a large collection of angels in her home and loved to shop. Mrs. Boyd is survived by her loving husband Samuel D. Boyd, Sr. and a wonderful mother to her son Samuel Dwight Boyd, Jr. of Huber Heights and her daughter Marquisha Y. Boyd of Fairborn Ohio and three grandchildren Joshua Taylor, Destinee Boyd and Martasia Boyd. Also surviving are two brothers Clarence James Holmes of Danville and Joseph Holmes of Paris and three sisters Rhoda Myers and Patricia (Keith) Williams of Maysville and Danyell Holmes of Knoxville Tn and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Wilma Boyd will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday at the Scott United Methodist Church with Rev. George Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at the church. Arrangements under the direction of Knox & Brothers Funeral Home, Maysville, KY.
