Myrtle Lee Douglas, 99, of Maysville, Kentucky died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. She was the widow of David “Austin” Douglas who died December 3, 1997. Mrs. Douglas was a farmer by trade, a homemaker and housekeeper. She was born in Oakwoods, KY on July 13, 1918 the daughter of the late Smith and Maude Craig Myers. Survivors include two nieces, Joyce Thomas (John) of Maysville, KY and Diana Farris (Larry) of Kentucky; one nephew, Gary Myers (Elizabeth) of Washington, KY; one brother-in-law, J. C. Douglas and one sister-in-law, Irene Stitt both of Maysville, KY. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, William Myers (Jean), Clinton Myers, Bertha Morgan (Woody), Clorine Myers and Alma Douglas (Henry) and by a niece, Patty Prater and a nephew, Alvin Scott Douglas. Funeral services for Myrtle Douglas will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, April 20, 2018 with Rev. Kent Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Thomas, Jr., Cullen Thomas, Gary Myers and Marce Douglas. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
