She was born in Middletown, OH on July 3, 1942 to the late Rowland C. and Mary Elizabeth Hinsch.
She graduated from Lemon-Monroe High School in 1960 and obtained her Nursing Degree from Jewish Hospital in 1963. She retired from Middletown Regional Hospital in 1989 after serving 25 Years as a registered nurse, the last four in the Hospice wing.
Mary was very active since moving to Maysville in 1989. She served as a volunteer for the Surgical Department at Meadowview Regional Hospital. Together with her husband Charles she owned C & D Electronics from 1990-1995. She became a Shrine Lady in 1990, was a volunteer for Hospice of Hope for the past 15 years, and was a member of the Simon Kenton VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 2734. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
She participated in the Silver Sneakers and Water Aerobics programs at the YMCA as well as their Euchre card club. She enjoyed travelling and camping was fortunate to visit all 50 states. She passionately loved her Country, music, and her sports teams.
Mary is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles Doughman; two children, Chuck (Kelly) and Kay Doughman; two grandchildren, JC and Jacob Doughman; and her sister Nancy (Bill) Hursh of Corning, NY.
Local funeral services for Mary Doughman will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church at 7:00 PM Thursday, October 3, 2013 with Rev. Eric Patterson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 4:00 PM until the hour of the service.
Extended funeral services will be held in Middletown, Ohio on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 12:30 PM at the Amanda United Methodist Church with visitation from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in the Butler County Memorial Park.
