Our beloved Uncle William John Deckman "Bill" passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022. Bill was born in Cleveland, Ohio to William and Elizabeth "Betty" Kondrath Deckman. A graduate of St. Joseph High School, Bill earned a track scholarship to The Ohio State University, where he also received his JD/MBA. In addition to his efforts in the legal field, Bill was well known for his passion for running and was devoted to helping others and serving his community.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, parents, and only sister, Diane Zorman Jones. He is survived by his sons, Matthew and Alec, brother-in-law Paul Jones, his nieces Kimberly Joseph (Scott), Michelle Silverstein, great-nieces Jalyn, Chloe, Kate, Alexander, Zachary, Jacob, Taylor, and numerous cousins, family, and friends. His smile and determination to see any obstacle through will be greatly missed. A Funeral Mass will be held this Saturday, July 2, at 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6850 Mayfield Rd.
