Timothy B. Carter, brother to Michael and son to Patricia and Edward, passed from this life on Monday, July 13th, 2020. Tim leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love and compassion that those who had the privilege to know him have attested to. Tim was born in Cleveland, in 1969. Our family moved to Cleveland Heights and that's where Tim and Michael grew up together. We're blessed that our parents had taken so many pictures of us when we were growing up. They will provide smiles and fond memories as the rest of us continue forward without him.
Tim was a businessman and entrepreneur. He started his own business out of our garage 30 years ago. Carter's Complete Landscaping. He was a hard worker, and grew his company from 1 truck, working out of our garage, to a competitive and successful landscaping company. His work was his life, and even there, Tim's kindness and compassion shone brightly. He offered jobs to those who needed them, and that may not have gotten a chance elsewhere. His workers have constantly remarked that Tim had a heart of gold...always available and willing to help someone who was in need.
Tim loved and cared for his family, living with his mother Patricia to ensure she was safe and cared for. He gladly sacrificed his own personal path to do so, and his family can never express how thankful we are for his selflessness. Although his brother Michael lives far away, the two brothers spoke often on the phone, sharing stories, laughing and making the most of the distance. Whenever the family was together in Cleveland, or California, their strength and love for one another overshadowed all else in the world.
Although Tim may no longer be with us, we believe he is now safely in God's arms, and we look forward to the day when we will be able to laugh together once more.
Rest in God's loving care, Tim. You are sorely missed.
- Your brother, Michael
