Daniel Thomas Maurer

Daniel Thomas Maurer age 51, of Mayfield, Ohio, passed away on September 28, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories. He is survived by his devoted wife, Michele (Grand) Maurer, and their beloved children, Nicholas and Mia. Daniel was the cherished son of Darlene and Bill Carlos and the late Michael and Jackie Maurer, and the brother of Michael Maurer (Susie). He was also a loving son-in-law to Bill and Donna Grand and brother-in-law to Bill Grand Jr. (Nicole). Daniel was a wonderful uncle, nephew, cousin and friend and they who will forever hold him in their hearts. Daniel shared his passion for music with others by playing the drums with his band of 20 years, enjoying weekly jam fests with his guys. He was an avid sports fan, proudly supporting the Chicago Blackhawks and the Cleveland Indians. Daniel's greatest joy was his family, he dedicated all his time to showing his children unconditional love and support. He celebrated 25 years of marriage with Michele, his best friend and true soulmate. Together, they shared a love that people look their whole life for. Daniel was also a dedicated professional, serving as Director of Research and Development at Main Street Gourmet, where his expertise as a food scientist shone brightly. He had a zest for life, relishing in adventures with his wife and friends, especially trips to Las Vegas. Described by many as one of the kindest and most amazing humans, Daniel’s spirit and laughter will be profoundly missed.
