I am in a state of shock. Kay, you meant the world to me. You were the greatest person I ever met. Sorry we recently lost touch.  Thanks for sponsoring me at my baptism, and for being such a great friend and mentor.

We are saddened to hear of Mrs. Haggerty's passing.  She was a beloved teacher to my sisters and me (Kate Begovic Vilberg, Mary Begovic Johnson, Milka Begovic Kalta, Slavica Begovic Stone, and Helen Begovic Dureiko) at Erieview Catholic High School.  In fact, Mrs. Haggerty inspired me to become a biologist.  As adults, my sisters and I were proud and happy to call her a dear friend.  I have kept all of Mrs. Haggerty's Christmas letters and will treasure them always.  Rest in peace dear friend.  You will be sadly missed.

What a joy it was to know my S-I-L and Aunt Kay what a wonderful person she was she always had a smile on her face and a cute laugh,her attributes were many. You have earned your wings and can join the family and Bill again.Love Beverly Haggerty and the Hatfield family.

I am so sorry to hear of Kay's death and want to share how much I enjoyed spending time with her. I got to know her after the year 2000 when my mother Betty Griffin Huth, had a stroke and was in a nursing home for four years. (Kay's husband Bill was first cousin to my father John Huth Jr.) Often when I would come to Cleveland to visit family I would see Kay.  She said she still remembered being welcomed and the kindness she felt from the extended family when she married Bill (75 years ago.) She enjoyed hearing of our travels and what my children were up to. We played Banana-grams last March when I was in town. She laughed as she used her IPad, saying that maybe by the time she is 105 she will know how to use it.  I learned so much from her. Whenever I hear about someone who has eyes that sparkle and twinkle, I think of Kay. She had an eagerness to laugh. Her parting words as I was leaving her home were, Enjoy what you have.
I keep Kay in my heart as a role model.
I would love to hear about her memorial.

So sorry to hear of Kay's passing. She was a secretary to my doctor when I was a child and always a smiling happy person. She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace with God.

Today my heart is heavy. Catherine has gone to be with the Lord. It was an honor and a privilage to know this sweet spirited lady. I only had the opportunity to know her for a short while as her ccargiver at Hamlet. In that short period of time a special bond came between us. I will love you and cherish the. Tines we shared.  I will keep you in my heart.
