RUSSO Michael C- of Middle Island on Nov. 8, 2015. Loving husband of Rose Marie (deceased) for 62 years. Cherished father to Charles (Lenore) and Rose Marie (Jay). Adored grandfather to Michael (Jenn) and Lauren Nicole Russo. Honored brother of Doleres and John Contrata, Francis LaRocca, Josie and Frank Sorrentino, and Jenny Bellia. Michael was an Insurance underwriter for Zurich American and Rose Marie's food tester. His hobbies included softball,racing, pigeon racing, the New York Yankees, and jumble puzzles. Michael enjoyed visiting and socializing with family, friends, and neighbors. He liked joking with the kids in the neighborhood. Michael loved his grandchildren. The nurses and aides at the nursing home always said how polite, friendly, and considerate Mike was and everyone loved his sense of humor. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Huntington Hills Center 400 South Service Rd Melville NY 11747.
