Pauline B Stanton of Mason, Michigan passed away at 98 years old on February 13, 2024. Pauline, the youngest of four children, was born on June 16, 1925 in Webberville, Michigan to Bert and Bertha Wolverton.
She attended school in Webberville and eventually graduated from Williamston High School 1943. Pauline married the love of her life, Wayne Stanton in 1946 in Vantown, Michigan. The two shared 65 wonderful years together before Wayne passed away in 2011.
Along with raising her three children, Pauline worked as a school bus driver for Mason Public School District for over 20 years. She was driving school buses long enough to watch her kindergarten kids grow up and graduate from high school. She even had one of her kids she drove school bus for give her a ride on his motorcycle when she was almost 90.
Oustide of driving the school bus and raising her children, she loved to go roller skating with her family when her kids were young. She also loved to Polka and square dance with her husband at the Masonic Lodge on Saturday nights. She greatly enjoyed music and playing the piano, and was even a long time member of Sweet Adelines singing group.
Pauline is survived by her children, Diane (Maury), Valerie (Donald), and Phillip (Jamie), 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
She is preceeded in death by her parents, siblings Howard, Mabel, and Harold, and her husband Wayne.
