Lloyd John Eastman

Lloyd was born on June 1, 1933 in Bessemer, Michigan to Jennie (Johnson) and Albert Eastman. He is reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Patricia and their precious son, David.

He is survived by his children, Judy, Linda Andrus, Kevin, Eric, Janel (Nick) Hankins and Jeremy (Julie), and his grandchildren, Tonya, Scott, Nathan, Carter, Jocelyn, Lydia, Lauren and Luke.

The youngest of three children Lloyd grew up in a coal mining community in Michigan’s upper peninsula. He earned a civil engineering degree from Michigan Technological University in 1958. He married his childhood sweetheart, Patricia Mesich on January 3, 1958. The couple moved to their home in Mason, MI in 1964 where they raised their family and where Lloyd lived the rest of his life. Lloyd worked as a bridge inspector for the state of Michigan for the majority of his career. Although he enjoyed his work which allowed him to travel around the state his main priority was always his family. He also placed a high priority on supporting missions through the missions fund at church. He was a gentle soul and a loving father with a quick wit and a dry sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A visitation for Lloyd will be held Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM at South Church, 5250 Cornerstone Dr., Lansing, MI 48917 with a luncheon to follow at the church.

Interment will take place Monday, June 26, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Maple Grove Cemetery, 213 N. Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854.
