Karen was born on August 6, 1965 in Norfolk, VA, the daughter of the late Clayton and Anita Stevens. Her family moved to Lansing, Michigan when she was young, and she was in the graduating class of 1983 at Sexton High School. She met the love of her life, Arthur "Butch" Kimball, and they got married on July 8, 1989 in Lansing. They had plenty of adventures together, but Karen's favorite was becoming a mother to their twin boys on July 25, 1996. Karen and Butch built a family filled with love and warmth, and established roots in Dansville.
Karen's pride and joy were her boys. She dedicated everything to them. She worked for Dansville Schools as a bus driver and in the cafeteria so she could be involved with her boys that much more. Her family was her life. She was the heart of the family. Even her work family at Swan Fuel where she was a secretary. They were apart of her family. The owners and workers of Swan Fuel were loved so very much by Karen. Karen had a way to make anyone feel like they were loved, welcomed, and apart of her family. She had a deep, loving heart that would do anything for anyone. She never said anything unkind about another person. She had patience in every situation. Something that everyone will especially miss is her constant smile and laugh. She was a bright light on even the darkest of days. This will truly be remembered forever.
Karen's life is left to be celebrated by her true love, Butch Kimball; her loving sons, Tanner Kimball and Travis Kimball; her mother-in-law, Sandy Kimball; sister-in-law, Shelley (Mark) Warstler; Sister, Dawn Middaugh Stevens of Virginia; nieces, Gina (Gene) Hodge and Taylor (Dan) Brush; nephew, Bobby Middaugh; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other beloved family members.
Karen is preceded in passing by her parents; her father-in-law, Arthur Kimball Sr.; and her niece, Anita Brown.
A celebration of life for Karen will be held at a later date.
