Frank Stanley Maj Jr.

Born on June 5, 1946 in Detroit, MI passed away on September 28, 2016 at the age of 70. Frank was a great friend and mentor during his lifetime. He was known for his strong work ethic as a superintendent at GM for 34 years. Frank served his country from 1967-1969 as a Staff Sargent in the 9th Infantry during the Vietnam War. His family would like to thank the many wonderful nurses and caregivers he had through this journey.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank Maj Sr. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Tonya; his children, Frank III, Eric (Sherik); grandchildren, Alivia and Cooper; mother, Kathleen Maj; and many family members and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday October 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. James Catholic Church, 1010 S. Lansing Rd., Mason, MI 48854 with the Rev. Kusitino Cobona officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday October 2, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854 and on hour prior to mass at the church. Interment and military honors will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Sparrow Hospice, P.O.
