She was born on February 28,1938 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. The daughter of Angus and Stella (Forgrave) LaPonsie. Edith lived a quiet and devoted life. She loved working at State Credit Bank for many years in which she built lasting relationships with colleagues and customers. Edith was a very independent lady who loved spending time with her friends and family.
Edith is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Russell and Vern LaPonsie; and sister, Lois Thornburn. Edith is survived by her brother, Lou (Carol) LaPonsie and many nieces and nephews whom loved her.
A funeral service for Edith will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Ball Dunn Chapel, 621 S Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854. Following the service, Edith will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery, 213 N Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854.
