Deb was always knowledgeable and ready to help.  MDOS's Austin Building will truly not be the same without her as others here have said.

I was heartbroken when I was told of Deb’s passing. I worked in the same office with her for all my 24 years with the department, including several years where I was Deb’s supervisor.  She was dependable and hardworking . . . dedicated to her work.  One of her responsibilities for nearly 20 years was as the primary first-line staff on one of the few remaining State phone lines where a work area could be directly reached through a number published to the public.  She did an excellent job of providing information to thousands of citizens, driver education providers and instructors, and testing businesses and examiners.

Deb was always willing to take on special assignments and any other miscellaneous tasks to help out the team.  Additionally, she was the unofficial notary for everyone in the building, both for department business and for coworkers with personal documents needing a notarized signature. 

Deb’s choice to continue working may be viewed as eccentric, but it demonstrated her commitment to live life on her own terms, which gives me comfort.  I have forgotten many people I have worked with over the years, but I could never forget Deb.  She will always have a special place in my memories.

I had the privilege to work with Deb for 20 years. She will be dearly missed.

My sincere condolences to Deb's family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Having known and worked with Deb for over 20 years, she was my work family. We are all shocked and saddened at her passing. I will miss her wonderful sense of humor, kindness, thoughtfulness her consideration, generosity and most of all her presence.   

I worked with Deb for many years in RFD, and as the newbie, was very thankful that she was always helpful and willing to cover and assist at any time, even if her name plate was upside down when she got to work! (Poppy).  We were a close knit Unit and celebrated birthdays, Christmas parties at each others houses and were a team and considered each other family.  Deb was a good friend and awesome colleague.  I know she will be missed by her friends at MDOS as will her family. Thinking of them all.  RIP Deb and thank you for all the wonderful years of laughs and fun working in RFD at MDOS! 

I worked with Deb for too many years to count, and always found her incredibly knowledgeable and helpful….and a good friend and ally.     I know the MDOS will miss her, as will her family.    Thinking of them all.

I am still shocked and saddened by Deb's passing.  Life at the Austin Building will not be the same without Deb, her reliability, and her sense of humor.   I could always count on Deb for a good laugh or a quick pick me up.  Deb could always be relied upon to handle whatever was asked of her.  

I will miss Deb.  MDOS will not be the same without you.  My condolences to Deb's family and friends.  She was truly one of a kind.  

Rest in peace Deb.  

Condolences to Deb's family.  I worked with Deb for 19 years, she was the go-to person for just about everything.  Her work ethic can never be replaced!  I will miss Deb!

Sandy, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. You and the family are in my prayers.

Condolences to the family.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  I am deeply saddened by the news of Deb’s passing.  I have had the pleasure of working with her as a co-worker and a friend.  She was always kind, loving and caring.  She was such a pleasure to work with.  I will cherish the fond memories I have and I am honored to have known such a great woman.  

Deb was one of kind, and I will truly miss her. I'm still in shock and denial, struggling to process the news... I just spoke with her last week, and everything was fine. I am devastated. 

My condolences to Deb's entire family, and her mom and sister who were with her at the end. I want you all to know how important Deb was to me. Thank you for taking care of her.
