Carole Ruth Richards

Carole Ruth Richards of Mason, Michigan passed away on May 19, 2022 after a long illness. Carole was born on December 5, 1942 in Muskegon, Michigan to Mildred and Fred Mohr. She met her husband to be, Jerry Richards, in high school, and they were married in Muskegon on December 22, 1962. She loved being a wife and raising a family. She lived in Houghton while Jerry attended Michigan Tech. She moved numerous times as Jerry worked at Consumers Energy in Saginaw, Jackson, Battle Creek, Lansing, and again in Jackson. Carole was a great Mother and Grandmother, and was a faithful Christian woman who was a member of Mason First Presbyterian Church. She spent many years doing the annual November craft show in her house. She suffered from an environmental illness during her later years and became home bound to avoid contact with things that caused her to react.

Carole is survived by her husband, Gerald Richards; daughter, Wendy Henderson (Ken); son, Jeffrey Richards (Tammy); and grandchildren, Geordan, Bryce, Zach, and Zoe.

The family will be holding a private Memorial Service for Carole on July 2nd.
