On the behalf of the Blanchet Class of 1961.  We remember our dear Classmate  Mike with fondness.  Mike had a great smile that he shared with everyone and his sense of humor was famous. Mike drove an older coupe to school and had perfected corner turns on a dime that could have rivaled any Indy race.  At class reunions,  Mike's name will be called out as with other classmates who have gone before us

So sorry to hear of Mikes passing. There are many memories that Randy has in working with Mike. They met back at the time they both worked at Washington Iron Works.  When it closed they both ended up at Graham Steel.  What an incredible life Mike had...a wonderful wife and loving children and grandchildren, a career that spanned many years and the ability to enjoy retirement. He will be truly missed. We know that he is with Pat now .... Miss them both .

Dad, I miss you so much! I’ll always remember your special smile, that caring heart and loving soul. I’m blessed to have spent so much time with you; especially over the past five years! I always looked forward to our weekly lunches and grocery shopping trips. You would say that we needed to do it more than once a week. We had a hard time saying goodbye to each other. I will cherish the memories of us watching many Seahawk’s games together, the summer barbecues, Father’s Day, and all the other holidays! I get a big smile on my face, remembering back to last Thanksgiving, watching you carve the turkey and most of it landing in your mouth. Oh, dad, I’m going to miss our many conversations, laughs, and all your hugs! I loved my clothes smelling like your cologne. You were the greatest dad a girl could have! Forever in my heart and always on my mind! I will love you always. Your proud daughter, Shari.

I heard of Mike’s passing through a mutual friend, Christi McCaughan.  I worked with Mike many years at Graham Steel, during which Mike was the QC manager.  I was part of the motley crew of “Graham crackers” whose work he inspected.  As Mike would enter the shop and begin his rounds of inspection,  we would sneak apprehensive glances towards him as he progressed.  When he inevitably hung the dreaded ‘red tag’ on someone’s work, wise guys who took delight in other’s misfortune would yell out in a loud voice “REDO!!”  That “redo” shout bounced off those tin walls of that cavern of a shop in humiliation of the hapless recipient of the tag.  Aahh, we had good times in those days, and to you Mike, I give a coworker’s salute!

Mike had such a kind, loving soul. It showed in his smile and you felt it in his hugs.  I couldn’t help but seek him out at gatherings.  He was always so interesting to visit with. He welcomed me from my first date with his youngest brother, to telling me I would always be his sister in law after my divorce. And his cologne!! It was just him! Whenever I smell it, I will think of Mike. Family was everything to him. I’m so happy his girls and brothers have so many great happy life memories  of being with him. I pray for you all and hope those awesome memories will someday fill the hole in your hearts right now. Heaven and Pat just welcomed an incredible man. So much love to you all.

Mike and I are so grateful that we have great memories with my parents sharing many vacations together.  Hawaii with Nanny and Grandpa, Carthage Missouri to the Precious Moments Chapel,  Disneyland, Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Teton and so many other places.  I will miss our impromptu Sunday breakfast at 112th Street Diner and Seahawk Sundays.  Dad got us involved in Rendezvous and we now have the best friends in the world that we get to spend lots of weekends with.  Growing up my friends would call my dad Inspector Clueso, because he looked like him and my softball team loved to hug him because he smelled so good and you would smell like him.  I love him so much and will think of my dad often.  I know that you and mom are together again and will be watching over us.  Love Always, Debbie and Mike

You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye.  You were gone before I knew it, and only god knew why. 
I will need you a million more times. I will cry a million more times. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. 
In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still.  In my heart you hold a place that no one could ever fill. 
It broke my heart to lose you, but you didn’t go alone.  A part of me went with you.  The day god took you home to be with mom.

Wish I spent more time with you in the past years. 
I have a lot of great memories with you.  The face thing “ Mommy, mommy my pigtails are too tight.”  “ Mr bus driver open up the door”. You laughed so hard every time I would do this.
The cologne left on me after a hug  or touching the door knob when visiting you.

Mike and I shared many a weekend at a rondy over the last 25 years, and because of the photos I have, they will live on in my memory, I will miss him until the day I rejoin him at the rendezvous in heaven.  He is/was my best friend. 

My thoughts and prayers are with Debbie and the whole family. I did not know Michael but he must have been a great dad to be so loved by his daughter who is always a kind and thoughtful person.
