July 19th, 1937 - January 6th, 2014
Marlene was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on July 19th 1937, she was married to Darwin Armit
in Winnipeg. They moved to the United States in 1961, and have lived in the Puget Sound area for 52
years. She had three children, Donna (Greg) Poulsen, Linda Piercy, and Jay (Kim) Armit; five
grandchildren, and three great-grand-children. Marlene and Darwin were married for 58 years. She
enjoyed square dancing, gardening and traveling with friends. Marlene passed away on January 6th,
2014 in Marysville, WA. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 2 p.m. at
Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville.
