She graduated from Marysville Pilchuck in 1984. She was an avid reader of poetry and a poet. She also enjoyed listening to music, ranging from pop to classical opera. After graduating high school, she married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Steven. She went on to have a couple jobs before settling into selling insurance. Being an insurance agent became her passion and she was brilliant at it, becoming one of the top agents at the company she worked for. She also loved sharing her vast knowledge of insurance through teaching and engaging with different community groups.
Besides insurance her other passions were fast cars and racing. She owned a few sports cars herself but the experience did not compare to being a pit crew member for a friend’s sprint car team. Being a grandmother was Jo’s most recent and biggest joy in life.
She is survived by her beloved husband Steven, their sons Daniel (Jake) and Philip (Caitee) and grandson Orion.
Jo is also survived by her father Daniel, twin sister Mary (Jay) Ford, sister Elizabeth Martinez-Trask, brother Danny (Nancy) Martinez, and many amazing nieces and nephews she loved and adored.
